Supanova was absolutely AMAZING!!!

Nic and I took the train down there on Friday morning so we'd get to check into the hotel early.
It was quite a long trip as we had to go back into the city to transfer onto a train that goes back pretty much the direction we came from. We bought a snickers bar and a giant muffin cookie to eat aswell as water and a vanilla coke for the trip.

The hotel we stayed at was a 4 star resort called the Mantra Phoenician and it was DEVINE!!
We needed to get to the goldcoast exhibition centre... and wait... what's that right outside our balcony?????
Just a walk away... it was perfect!
Heated indoor swimming pool, Sauna, Jacuzzi, 24 hour gym, about 6 outdoor pools, room service, foxtel, wifi, aircon in every room, day spa - massages, salon, hair and makeup etc. and this place had a view to die for!

When we got down there, we needed to get some new laces for Nic's formal shoes so we walked around the shops and because I didn't bring my swimmers (Cause I thought that we wouldn't have time to swim >.<) Nic decided he wanted to buy me some. We walked around Pacific Fair, got some laces for Nic, aswell as an adorably cute set of swimmers for myself and some new sunglasses for both of us on a two for one deal. OH!! And free boost compliments of the awesome gift card Gene bought me for my birthday xD We got back to the hotel and changed into our toggs ready to soak in some delicious hot jacuzzi water when Jason arrived! So we walked him back up to the hotel room and he got changed to join us.

We left the aircons running so that the room would be nice and cool when we returned. We went into one of the outdoor swimming pools first. It was actually really warm and just perfect! It was evening now so it was dark but there were lights illuminating the all the pools and beautiful fountains and water features. Next we stepped inside to the heated pool and felt the heat. We relaxed with a bubbling spa for a good warm soak to relax our muscles. After a while we decided it was time to get some food. We got changed and decided to grab some Blockbuster movies to watch during dinner.
We ended up with four movies. Captain America, Cowboys vs Aliens, Don't be afraid of the dark (lame >:c had so much potential to be good.) and something else :D
We pulled open the fold out couch and threw the pillows about to get comfy and ordered room service. We got two pizzas delivered while we watched two of the movies. We forgot to get drinks so Nic ducked out to the seven eleven that was right below the hotel like a hell of alot of other shops were and most of them were open till very late <3
Pizza was delivered and we had our drinks and it was time to watch the movies! Captain America I had never seen before and I really enjoyed it! We soaked in the views of the early morning from outside then headded to bed.

Saturday!
We set the alarm early but decided to take it easy. Nic and Jason had coffee and a continental breakfast ordered from roomservice but I had a booking in at the day-spa for a studio make-over so I couldn't join them.
Today we would be wearing our Kimono and Yukata set. We had an adventure getting these!
I discovered that it was very hard to walk in it.... I basically walked with my knees pinned together and had to take lots and lots of little steps... >.> I felt like an old lady.

We had many a hug from lots of people on Saturday xD It was so cute all these otaku girls exclaiming about wanting a kimono so badly~ I told them it had been a dream of mine to own one for a while too!
Lunch time had been and gone and our feet were killing us so we decided the best thing to do was to get sushi for late lunch!!
We walked around in our kimonos and went to a sushi restaurant for take-away sushi so we could eat and watch a movie back at the hotel. Walking into a sushi-train had alot of heads turning and the sweet Japanese people serving us complimented us on looking amazing. It was really sweet ^^
We got back to the hotel, sushi in hand and the sunset shon brilliantly and we saw a brilliant photo opportunity. Jason snapped it for us~ He's quite the photographer.

I had a lychee ice tea and we all bought Ramune to have later.
This was such good sushi!! >.< mmm~
Headding back into Supanova I brought my Invader Zim box set for Richard Horvitz (Voice actor for Invader Zim and Dagget from angry beavers) to sign! He was hilarious!!! And Gene got to be his P.A. for the whole thing >.<
I brought Gene a poweraid to keep him going and gave him a big hug. Richard was really friendly and loved Gene to bits xD
I bought alot of really cute things >.< Then my feet were killing me to the point where I nearly needed Nic to carry me.
So we went back to the hotel.
We watched Cowboys vs Aliens, went for another swim then watched the terrible horror movie late into the night.
It was 11pm and Nic and I decided we were hungry. We wanted pasta.
We didn't think anything would be open but we went for a wonder down to the restaurant line of shops below the hotel. And sure enough, EVERYTHING was open. An italian restaurant was open and we ordered the cabonara to go. It was sooo good >.< so creamy and full of flavour ;v; mmm~
We had some Hersheys Peanut butter cups for dessert, had our showers then went to bed.

Sunday~!!
We had a wonderful sleep in and I was greeted with a gorgeous view.
This little guy didn't make a peep. He just gracefully landed and watched over us till we woke.

Today was Sunday. The last day of supanova :( I didn't want to leave!!
It was a really hot day and I would be dressing up in leather and a helmet Dx but... the exhibition centre was airconditioned and amazingly chilly with all those nerds bunched together! :D

I went hyper.
I could walk properly and not only that... my helmet made it so I was now anonymous!
No one knew my identity and so I devised a plan... how many people could I perve on that day??
MANY. SO. SO. MANY.

It was an awesome day xD
We were stopped within seconds of arriving at the con and we weren't even in the line to get into the doors yet before we were asked for photos!

It carried on like this for the entire day. There wasn't 5 minutes that passed where we weren't snapped!
Good day xD I was so happy the cosplay I put so much work into got such a good response!
We finally found an Izaya-kun!! So naturally...
Nic had to beat him up with a stop sign xDDDD

After a million photos and a shopping spree, we decided to have lunch before our trip home.
We weren't sure what we wanted so we wandered around for a bit until we landed at a pizza parlor. The manager was incredibly friendly and made us a large custom pizza that we designed ourselves and two HUGE glasses of our preffered drinks.
It was soooooo satisfying.

We decided to leave around 3.30pm to beat the rush hour traffic on our trip home.
Ahhh~ What a wonderful getaway.
I'm SO freaking happy. I've never had a better supanova experience and had to write some of it down~
I wish I took more photos of the hotel. It was so awesome >.<
This is a memory that I wont soon forget :)

Urgh, I've been working non stop on this helmet and trying to get the smudgey corners of the stencil pattern to get painted over and it's been pretty much futile. So after all that wasted effort I'm deciding to just leave it as it is. I can't be bothered working on it anymore and if I continue working on it I won't have enough time to finish the body suit. Sighhh... so it'll have to do. I don't care how imperfect it is at this point. I have a deadline to reach and if I don't make it I'm pretty much fucked. Well I've pushed Nic so hard into getting all of his stuff put together. I'm quite amazed that he's actually going through with it considering he bailed out the last two times. Well that's that then.

Yep. This is what I'd do every night if I lived on my own.

I'm on a high at the moment because dad is off in England so I have the house to myself and the place has never been cleaner <3
I love having the fridge and larder full of eadible food and there not being paperwork, mail, newspapers, chip packets and peanuts randomly strewn about the place. Ah~ Bliss. The kittens are having a whale of a time too.

Anyhoo, I've made myself the most exquisite espresso with my deluxe machine that I've been keeping in tip-top condition.
So now that I'm caffinated I can continue work on my cosplay for supanova in April. Not long now and it will be all done! ^^ Plus I get to dye Nics hair >:3 muwahahaha~ it's only something I've been trying to do for years xD now he can't back out of it!

We're getting a hotel down the gold coast so we can get to GC supanova faster. Nic managed to book a lovely place which is literally accross the road from it. I r impressed.
All in all I'm looking forward to it ^^

I made myself some buttered chicken and rice for dinner tonight and tomorrow I am making three colour meat Dango for Nic and myself as he's popping over after work.

All in all it should be a good end of the month if I can get everything finished :3
I of course will post pictures of the cosplay later.

I never showed these off on here and I haven't a clue as to why.
The first was possbly one of the best items of jewelry that I've ever bought off ebay ever, the second was a gift from the most wonderful asian penpal sex-machine from Canada ever.


The second was taken with the webcam Jimmy sent me over with the necklace. I need to take an actual photo of the necklace for betterness ;-;
